Cross Country

Yesterday was a huge day for us. Cross Country was on and some people dawdled and ran. I couldn't believe that the 10year old girls were racing. We waited for a little while. Then Mr Burt said "ON YOUR MARKS GET SET GO!!!." Then some of the girls started sprinting and all of a sudden they started stopping at the corner.

I was still jogging and focusing on myself. .As I was jogging it felt like my heart was beating so fast. The mud oozed between my feet. I stood in this huge puddle.As the water splashed on my muddy legs while I was running.Once I got out of school I started running fast and started catching up to Helen T. I started to run even faster and Helen said "wait Robin" and I started to ignore her and run off. I caught up to Huia, and all of a sudden Huia started to stop. I was nearly up to the finish line I ran through the park and to the finish line. When I got to the finish line I realized that I came 3rd. When I got to the finish line I was exhausted and happy with myself and others.

NETBALL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS...

Today we went to the Netball World Championships at the Waitakere Stadium. We watched Barbados verse Malaysia. Barbados won 62 to 37. They had some tall players. It was exciting. We were cheering for Barbados. We got given some thundersticks to cheer with and a cap, some stickers and a poster.
It was the senior girls who got to go with Miss Erick and Mrs Katu and Rina our netball coach.
Heaps of players in the Barbados team got injured but they still won.
It was a fun day.

Te Kura Kaupapa o Manawatu

On Monday we had a powhiri in the morning to welcome te Kura Kaupapa o Manawatu to our school. It was cool doing our powhiri and kapahaka. First of all for the powhiri we had to sing a song to te Kura Kaupapa o Manawatu. They performed for us and it was really, really awesome. The short girl had a good voice...
